AAAL’s Spring AGM is Coming Up! Important Notes for Attendees

We are so excited for our upcoming Spring AGM in Edmonton! Thank you to MacEwan for hosting us, and a huge thank you to our amazing L&D committee for organizing this event.

We have important things to discuss at our Spring AGM. Please look at our meeting package for details about our meeting and speakers. Also, consider putting your name forward for Chair-Elect!

Roundtable: Please prepare a 2-minute or less verbal update about your institution. We love hearing new initiatives, staffing changes, and supporting as much as possible with problems. We will need to stick to the 2 minutes.

Voting: If you are the voting member for your institution or if you are the proxy for voting, please bring a device that allows you to cast your votes electronically. This can be a smartphone or tablet – anything to scan a QR code to access the voting ballots.

Name tags: Please bring your work name tag, if you have one.

Chair-Elect: Our Chair-Elect position is open for nominations! Put your name, or your colleagues name (with their permission), forward to join our Executive team. Details about the position can be found at this link: Appendix A; Responsibilities of AAAL Officers and Committees (and y’all, it’s a sweet gig). The Chair-Elect is the first of three evolving positions and is held for one year before moving into the Chair position. The Chair position is one year and moves into the Past Chair position. This allows for continuity of experience and support for the Association.

We are so excited to see everyone on May 2! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you all the very best,

AAAL Executive Board
