AU Library is pleased to announce that Dr. Hongxing (Bill) Geng has been hired to the position of Associate University Librarian, Library Academic Services Support, effective January 21, 2019. Hongxing has worked in the Library since 2008, in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Acting Manager, Web Projects & Services. Hongxing received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 2017. In his work with the Library Hongxing has managed and contributed to many Library projects, including the redesign of the Library website, Digital Reading Room, and AUSpace, the University’s institutional repository. Through his work, Hongxing has demonstrated a keen interest in ensuring seamless access to Library resources for learners, commitment to furthering the Library’s goals, and collaborating with stakeholders.
