Events at Buchanan Library Lethbridge College

In 2018, Buchanan Library at Lethbridge College has been a very exciting place!

On January 2nd, we said good-bye to our information Services desk and hello to our new One Desk.  An exciting adventure for both staff and students.

Excitement continued with ‘Beach Day’ on January 31st.  An event involving a number of services across the college, spearheaded by the library, threw on their flip-flops and enjoyed blueberry and watermelon slushes with slices of pineapple on the side.

Finally, the Library teamed-up with the Learning Café to host Long Night Against Procrastination.  Students enjoyed stress release activities including massages and crafts along with healthy snacks like apples, granola bars and pizza.

Second Call for Lightning Strikes Sessions – AAAL Spring 2018 Meeting

Second Call for Lightning Strikes Sessions – Only 10 days left to submit.
The Alberta Association of Academic Libraries (AAAL) Spring 2018 meeting will take place on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Riddell Library and Learning Centre at Mount Royal University of Calgary.
We invite you to submit a proposal for a lightning strike session (20 minute talk including time for questions) on how your staff, your libraries and/or your constitutions engage with information.  What new program, service, or space are you and your library providing to your user communities?  What new technologies or tools are you using to improve how you, your library, or your users get things done.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in Calgary in April.
