Save the date! The Alberta Association of Academic Libraries (AAAL) Spring ‘24 Meeting is coming up on Friday, May 3, 2024, and will be hosted at Red Deer Polytechnic. This year, our theme is a little unconventional – or perhaps, there’s no theme at all! We’re looking forward to a laid-back gathering where AAAL members can share what they’ve been up to at their respective institutions.
We’re opening the floor to your insights, and there are two presentation formats to choose from:
- 7-Minute Lightning Talks: Quick snapshots to give a brief overview of your idea, research, experience, program, or service.
- 25-Minute Presentations: A bit more in-depth, allowing you to share research, tools, programs, or services with some room for engaging discussions or activities.
If you’re interested, submit your proposal by 11:59 pm on Sunday, March 17. Additionally, if you have an idea that doesn’t meet these formats, please feel free to reach out at aaal.executive@gmail.com. Successful presenters will hear back the following week.
Wondering how we’ll select sessions? Check out our Rubric for Selecting AAAL Sessions – it’s a helpful guide for your proposal.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you and creating a casual, informative atmosphere at the Spring ‘24 Meeting!
Best,
AAAL Learning & Development Committee
